I just got a new calling - I'm a teacher in Relief Society in our ward. I gave my first lesson today and ...... it went pretty well. I was relieved. I'm actually pretty excited about this calling because I know that it is something that I can REALLY improve on. I've never felt like I was a good teacher, that I put together good
lessons, or that I spoke well in front of others. What a great chance to improve on all that! Right? Just as long as I don't fall on my face in the meantime!

That's a scary job...I had that when I was just barely married, and I felt like everybody was way smarter than me. They were very forgiving and loving. It will make you grow!
Church callings are a great way to improve yourself!
1. No one else wants to be in your position-no competion.
2. Your audience pities and sympathizes as you struggle.
3. You you can't get fired- even if you want to.
Usually no pay in the real world motivates us enough to stretch out of our comfort zone yet we'll do it free. Go fiqure...
LOL. Des always has great words of wisom about church callings, and they are so funny and so true.
Anyway Ash, you will be GREAT! Let me know how it goes. I wish I could come hear your lessons.
It was SO good to talk to you today. Let's not go that long again, k? thanks. :)
Oh I think that is great! You'll do an awesome job! I'm just glad it's you and not me!! Ha Ha! Love ya!
I'm a terrible friend! I knew you were giving that lesson but I forgot to call and ask how it went. I'm sure you did a terrific job! I bet it's nice to have that first one out of the way. Well done! And better you than me! I can't teach unless it's a bunch of kids in the room. Grown-ups terrify me!
I loved your lesson Ashly. Just like you, perfectly balanced with adequate reason, sincerity and humor. Glad you're teaching!
