sick, sick, and more sick
Ava gave me a little scare today that I hope she doesn't repeat!!! She started getting sick on Saturday night and we into a full blown cold by last night. She slept really crappy all night last night but when she woke up this morning it was like someone had swapped my baby! I've never seen a sicker baby, man, woman or child in my entire life! It was awful. She had a scorching fever, a runny nose, congestion, she was throwing up, she wouldn't eat, wouldn't drink, and all she seemed able to do was lay on chest and cry/whimper/moan. When she wasn't crying she was taking these real short, shallow breaths and she would grunt every time she tried to breathe. It was so scary! She had the hardest time falling asleep because she felt so crappy but even when she did fall asleep I didn't dare leave her alone because her breathing was so strange. I took her to the doctor as soon as I could get in and the doctor ended up sending us to Primary Children's Hospital! Talk about scary!!! He thought she may have a type of viral pneumonia that was lodged deep in her lungs and preventing her from breathing normally. He told me to stay at the hospital until he called me back because he was afraid they might have to keep her overnight. Ahhhhhh!!!! Thankfully the chest x-rays came back ok (not good, but not terrible looking either) and they let us come home. She's sleeping now and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she sleeps well and is feeling at least a little bit better when she wakes up. If not, it's back to the doctor for her! The poor little thing! This being a mom thing can really pull at your heartstrings, can't it!

That is so scary about Ava, I'm glad she is feeling a little better though. Please call me tomorrow if you want Clark to come play for a few hours to get him out of your hair and give you two a chance to sleep for a few hours. I'll send dinner home with Jesse and some new rebates I found over the weekend. PLEASE call if I can do anything at all.
Poor Avie! And poor you for having to go through that! That is really scary. I'm sooo glad she is OK. I wish I were there to help. Keep me posted.
I'm glad that you took her in and that she is feeling a bit better. I hope she gets all better soon and no one else gets sick. Poor babe!!
Poor girl. That is scary. I hate it when the kiddlings get sick, especially when they are little like her. Hope she gets better soon!
Scary. I hope she gets better.
that's scary! it sounds like you did the right thing. I've started taking the "better safe than sorry" approach. Hope she is feeling better now.
