The quirks of Jesse...

I don’t have no stinkin’ quirks…ok I do. Ashly challenged me to post my quirks so here it is.

1 – I hate it when things don’t work properly. Something may be working ok, but if it is not working the way it was intended, or not functioning optimally then I need to fix it so it does or replace it.

2 – I enjoy having clean cars and generally enjoy the effort it takes. There is just something about having the surface or your car feel like glass. That joy is amplified when it is a ten year old car that looks just as good as newer cars. See the archived post on car detailing to see the full extend of this quirk. Waxing, polishing, and using a clay bar. It is all worth it.

3 – I own more shoes and clothes than most guys, but I don’t spend a lot on clothes. I can’t remember any piece of clothing that I have purchased at full price. I am a big fan of Nordstrom Rack, Last Chance in Phoenix (Nordstrom Rack’s Rack) and TJ Maxx.

4 – I am a gear guy. I enjoy gear & gadgets, etc… It is fun to have toys to play with and try out.

5 – I am a nail biter. It drives me crazy and I am always trying to stop. I had a good streak earlier this year where I actually had to trim my nails with nail cutters, but not now. I am still trying to get rid of this quirk.

6 – I research A LOT before I buy something. I really enjoy the whole research process. I may see something that is a great deal, but I will go home and look on the internet or go to another local store to see if they have it for less. It costs me time, but I always want the best deal possible. I enjoy research cars, gadgets and other things for myself and others. It is the thrill of the hunt.

I'm a nail biter too! It drives Laura crazy! I totally understand the car cleaning too, although my truck is a wreck right now...I blame my job.

Dan here... this is not the Hutch that I know. My favorite Hutch quirk is how promptly he fetches my drycleaning and polishes my shoes. With the coming autumn season, he neatly pressed my summer cottons for storage and replaced them with my fall gabardines and twills. Hutch recommends at this time of year to stop looking at linen and think instead about worsteds. Love that quirky Hutch.
