It's true - - -I feel like I have leprosy! I just got back from the dermatologist and found out that I have a nasty little thing called dyshidrotic eczema. It's this condition where your skin flares into tiny little sores/blisters/zits. I have it on about half of my left ring finger. Ugh. It flared up really bad over the weekend so I finally called and made an apt with a dermatologist. I was none to happy to hear that I have a form of eczema because the causes are unknown, there is no cure, and the treatments only serve to alleviate the symptoms and don't treat the condition itself. UGH. My finger is better now but it hurt SO bad over the weekend. I thought i might have to cut it off!
My finger doesn't look as bad as this poor lady's does but it was the best picture I could find online. Part of my finger looked like that over the weekend though! Gross, I know. Don't worry - - it isn't contagious so you won't get it if I accidentally touch you! I'm blaming this one on Ava though because the initial eczema rash was pregnancy induced a year and a half ago when I was preggy with her. The little stink!

Oh baby, that stinks!!! I'm sorry. Alex has eczema as well and it flares up every now and again but overall it's not too bad. Good luck with the treatments!

I thought that was your hand at first! Ouch hun. I feel so bad for you. Isabelle has a really bad eczema and steriod cream is the only thing that works for her. I hope you feel better and it won't flare up for long.
That is ugly. I haven't seen you in a while. I hope your fingers are better.
