makes me chuckle

I bought some turkey sausage a little while ago (don't know why - just picked it up instead of the normal stuff at the grocery store) and it was WAY nasty. I mean, it was really bad. I took one bite and spit it out. Jesse gagged down a whole link but I have no idea how or why. Anyhow, I think it's tacky to return food to a grocery store but I made an exception for this nasty stuff. I wanted my three bucks back. And, I wanted to tell Jennie-O about their foul product. So, I did. I wrote them a nice note telling them how awful the sausage was and how I was mad that I ventured away from my normal stuff. They sent me back a canned email thanking me for my comments. They also said that if I would send them my UPC they would send me a coupon for a free Jennie-O product. This made me chuckle. Did they really think that I was making up a whole story about nasty sausage so I could get some more of it? I emailed back and told them that I'd long since gotten rid of the offensive meat and that I was, therefore, unable to provide them with the UPC. End of story, or so I thought! Today in the mail I got a card from Jennie-O thanking me again for my comments and 3 coupons for $2 off any Jennie-O product. This made me chuckle all over again. I'm sure as heck not buying the nasty sausage again but maybe I'll look for another Jennie-O product that may actually taste good. Any suggestions?

Jenni-O sells ground turkey that is really good. We have a mean Caesar Turkey Burger recipe I'd be willing to share...assuming I can find it.

And their ground turkey is expensive so definitely be grateful for the coupon!

That is too funny. Sorry I've never tried an Jenni-O products but on "The Biggest Loser" the say the turkey bacon is good (well if you like 'wanna-be-beef' products).

No advice about the products. I can't think of any Jenni-O stuff I've ever bought. But I did enjoy the story! You know I have the "it's always worth it to complain" policy, so I'm proud of you!

I have tried the Jennie-O turkey burgers and they aren't too bad. They are leaner than hamberger and if you add ketsup, lettuce, pickles, and all that jazz you can't really taste the meat. Jenny-O also has a turkey breast that you can cook in the oven with gravy. DO NOT GET THAT. the turkey breast tasted like crap!! But the hambergers are premade and in two's so you can just hurry and defrost two patty's and have dinner. That is the best Jenny-O product I think.
